Seed drills BS – GC 2 ’04 The art of good sowing SEED DRILLS BS – GC 2 Setting the standards in sowing BS for mixed farming and breeding 1 S and GC2 seed drills are designed for working in all conditions (soil types and consistencies), seeding densities ranging from 1.5 to over 400 kg/ha and a great diversity of seeds. These seed drills owe their proven ruggedness and longevity to careful workmanship and unparalleled sowing experience (BS for mixed farming and breeding available in 2.5 m and 3.0 m and GC2 for large fields available in 3 and 4 m).

B Hopper opening: 55 cm in GC 2 Hopper The trapezoidal shape and smooth walls of the hopper facilitate the movement of seed towards the metering units. The new cover, large opening and low-slung design to make it easier to fill. The internal partitions keep the seed from moving from side to side while working on slopes or in curves. They also reinforce the hopper. The base of the hopper is designed to ensure that all the seed is delivered. An alternating agitator placed at the bottom of the hopper keeps the seed from bridging and makes it flow smoothly. GC 2: for large fields GC 2: rugged frame for a large hopper The GC2 has a frame with a large section to support the new hopper with the extended capacity of 200 litres per metre, i.e. 600 litres for 3 metres and 800 litres for 4 metres. As standard, it comes fully fitted with: – a loading platform fixed to the frame, – hydraulic markers, – starting support coulters, – a pressure-adjustable following harrow mounted on a parallelogram. 2 1 Coulter systems for all conditions 1 Coulter Its special form is designed for seeding in practically all types of soil. Its NI HARD castiron tip can withstand abrasion. It is also replaceable and easy to care for. 2 2 Starting support and depth control skid ensures there is free rotation thanks to the absence of scraper. The seed is guided by a nozzle towards the drill created between the discs. 3 The support keeps the coulters from getting stuck when the seed drill is placed on the ground (optional with BS). The skid is used to control the seeding depth (adjustable from 1 to 4 cm). 3 Double discs Coulter pressure adjustment The coulter pressure determines the depth of seeding. It is adjusted individually for each coulter or centrally for the entire seeding bar using a crank and graduated rule to locate the pressure level. These are mounted on a bearing and make for excellent work in difficult conditions, such as trashy soil or interseeding 4 Disc coulters 4 These are intended for sowing on ground with heavy covering of trash.
